Profile & History:
The Vaishli Sahri Vikash Co-operative Bank Ltd. Hajipur was registered as a Co-operative Society under Bihar Co-operative Societies Act, 1949 in 1997. It was granted the license to conduct banking business as a Primary Urban Co-operative Bank in the district Vaishali by Reserve Bank of India in June, 1997. The Bank started operations on 01st July, 1997 and has registered constant growth since then. Currently we have four Branches.
The area in which VSV operations are currently concentrated, a large proportion of the population belongs to the lower income strata. It is the bank’s objective and focus of effort to inculcate in this section of the community a sense of thrift and a habbit of saving in order to help uplift their standard of living.
The VSV has placed service to its clients as its primary objective. It aims to help clients and resolve their problems. Still if there is any compliant it is dealt with immediately to the satisfaction of clients.
The VSV provide all types of accounts facility i.e. Current Deposit, Savings Bank Deposit, Recurring Deposit and Fixed Deposits All these accounts have been computerized, thus enabling the bank to provide faster service to its clients.
Deposits up to the value of Rs.1.00 lac per depositor have insurance cover with Deposit Insurance & Guarantee Corporation, a subsidiary of RBI.
